Really small grocery store. They have a decent selection of foods. They also offer a hot food selection in the deli.
I work there..I cook in the deli ..home cooked food the way my mom did !!we are also open on sundays now from 8:00 am til 1:00 pm great for after church quick lunch fix
Wonderful ..and it's also great for Wintergreen visitors to get wine..starterwood..dinner or groceries on the way up..or if you need to run out to get something pretty much whatever u may need they have ..and the produce handler is a plus I hope everyone has the pleasure to meet and if there is something u need and don't see her name is Gladys Fisher ask her and you will love the prompt service she shows
IGA Nellysford is the worst! The store is filthy, the selection is minimal, the produce is disgusting, the prices are through the roof, and (other than the butcher) the staff is a bunch of self-centered / non-caring personnel who aren't trained any differently!!! Having a monopoly on the grocery supply for miles must have gone to their heads years ago and it comes through threefold in their store; these people do not care. This bad review could continue paragraph after paragraph but the point is; IGA is all that is there, so locals must go in a pinch. If you are coming for a trip at Wintergreen, PACK as many groceries as you can; STOP for beer BEFORE arriving. AVOID NELLYSFORD IGA at all cost!
I was jobless and in a situation where I was not allowed to work.i finally had enough of a bad thing the situation I was in was getting me no where positive nor any happiness. I was made to feel like a nobody ..And like I was trapped and I realized it was taking its toll on me and I had had enough ...And started thinking about me..So I ended the situation I was in..And was on the Rd to putting me and my life first and knew that these changes had to be made and it was for the better..And finding a job was my first step and I was nervous and not feeling I was gonna be that person I once was due to how I was made to feel about myself .I went everywhere putting in applications with no luck and that made me more depressed..And worthless and that all hope was gone and was ready to give up but I gave it one more shot at a job so I applied at the IGA and just as I thought all hope was gone I received a phone call for an interview I got the job. All the people I work with at the store are wonderful caring people and they made me feel welcome and worthy. And they brag on my cooking as did the customers and I'm happier and healthier and confident about myself and very proud of myself I was saved the people I work with at the iga made me a part of their family and they treat all the customers in a family way customers come in to shop and the conversations all because of the people I work with it's amazing to see this type of bond between customers and employees they have taught me well .Our meats are cut every day at the store by our meatcutter and if what you're looking for in meats isn't out there they go to the meatcutter and he takes time to listen to the customers questions or requests for meats and with a smile so for customers satisfaction. A curetiouse atmosphere low prices and some good home cooked food made fresh everyday in the deli come be part of a wonderful atmosphere and satisfaction garanteed by the time you leave stop on in
